Philips Senior Software Engineer in Allerød, Denmark
As senior software engineer you work in a team on different software products (PC software , embedded software and cloud based software) to develop a diagnostic medical device platform that includes analyzer hardware, cartridges, reagents, and software. Your initial focus will be on implementation of image analysis algorithms.
Write and maintain design documentation
Participate in reviews
Performing small technology feasibility studies
Contribute to safety and security risk analysis
Work according to quality management system
C#, C++ Embedded Devices (WinCE, Linux)
Continuous Integration, Subversion
Unit testing and unit testing frameworks (NUnit, Mocking frameworks, Specflow (BDD))
You have a degree in Software Engineering or related studies
5+ years’ experience in software development
Team-player: experience with team interaction on a day-to-day basis
Have good communication and reporting skills in English and preferably Danish
Experience with Product Creation and Quality Processes
Experience with documenting designs
Pre: experience with medical devices
Pre: experience with agile development processes e.g. (Scrum).
Pre: experience with defining related development environments (MS Visual Studio)
Handheld Diagnostics is one of the biggest Business Units within the Business Group Emerging Businesses. Handheld Diagnostics has grown to around 200 FTE and our aim is to generate new business in a new market for Philips which will significantly contribute to the growth ambitions. Handheld Diagnostics has developed a next generation Point of Care solutions which aims to support the caregiver in making faster decisions in the Emergency Departments to reduce costs and improve patient satisfaction. The first product is launched in Q2 2016 in Europe. The Software team has grown to around 20 FTE in the last years, with a mix of fixed and hired employees, plus resources in outsourced projects with suppliers.
Your team is located in Denmark and will work close together with the team in Eindhoven.
