Your challenge

Become the specialist in market and competitor information and support the strategy and future growth of Philips’ Health & Wellness business globally through strong recommendations based on your profound market understanding.

We are recruiting for a Consumer Market Intelligence manager for one of our fastest growing business groups at our Head Quarter in Amsterdam, who is able to connect the dots and translate quantitative and qualitative information into meaningful insights.

Your responsibilities

You are the Go-to-person for Target Consumer and Consumer Decision Journey insights for Oral Health Care and Mother and Child Care:

  • Conduct global segmentation research to obtain actionable insights into the target audience for Oral Health Care and Mother and Child Care

  • Conduct global, primary qualitative and quantitative consumer research to obtain a deep understanding of the way people shop for products and services in both Health & Wellness business

  • Combine insights from primary research with insights from online sources, market data, and knowledge about the business

  • Deploy the insights and be a sparring partner to the Marketing and the Business teams

You will apply Digital Analytics as part of your methods to gain consumer insights:

  • Obtain insights from analysis of online data sources, such as social listening, A/B testing on social media, analysis of online reviews, online shopping behavior

  • Work in close collaboration with the Digital Team Health & Wellness team to build on each other’s learning

  • Use digital insights to drive marketing activation as well as product development

You will be a strategic MI partner for the Global Marketing Team

  • Have a deep understanding of the business strategy to initiate research activities that addresses strategic knowledge gaps

  • Be able to see the bigger picture and connect the dots between MI and business information sources

  • Contribute to winning marketing strategies by being a true MI business partner

Your team

You will become a part of the Consumer & Market Intelligence team in the business group Health & Wellness which manages the creation, development and market introduction of products and propositions globally. For the Consumer & Market Intelligence Team this implies that we conduct market and consumer research across the globe. Your internal customers will be the business management team, the marketing teams in Business Group (US, Netherlands, China) and in the countries, strategy and the business development team.

We are looking for

  • University level (master in the area of Marketing Research/ Behavioral Science/Marketing/Social Sciences) with a strong emphasis on consumer behavior and marketing strategy

  • Min. 5 years of working experience in the area of consumer intelligence with experience of digital analytics. Preferable from a multinational or consultancy, fast paced environment.

  • Proven track record in delivering high quality results in a challenging environment

  • Strong analytical skills and natural high level of curiosity to help build up deep fact-based consumer category knowledge.

  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative primary consumer research, as well as digital analytics

  • Ability of conceptual, strategic thinking

  • Good consultative and communication skills so you can convey your findings and knowledge to marketing teams and act as a business partner.

  • Good project management skills; ability to plan & prioritize and work with external research partners

  • Business fluency in English (written & verbal)

  • Available fulltime, 40 hours per week
