This is a great opportunity for a young professional with interest in global procurement, consultancy, data analytics and project work. You will participate in hands-on operations to improve the efficiency and outcomes of the team, their processes and Philips’ consultancy projects. You will be involved in procuring Business & Strategic Services. The focus will be on consultancy but you may be involved on other BSS topics like Legal, Outsourced Services and Corporate fees & subscriptions.

This position offers the potential to not only rapidly grow and acquire more responsibilities but also to get a solid grasp of Philips’ procurement organization and the many projects that are being executed.

You are responsible for

  • Sourcing and contracting consultancy firms for the projects Philips intends to execute

  • Commodity management support & projects

  • Supplier management & classification

  • Spend analytics

  • Saving opportunities development & implementation

  • Support implementation of new sourcing systems & tooling

  • Operational procurement tasks and contact point

You are a part of

The team of Business & Strategic Services belongs to the team of Indirect Materials & Services. You will be closely working with senior manager in the same team, to support their projects, with best in class procurement capabilities in the area of Source-to-Contract. You will be a part of the global procurement team for business strategic services and you will be based in Amsterdam with occasional visits to Eindhoven.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • M.Sc in business, technology, or economics

  • Experience (internship/ job/ graduation) in the following fields: consultancy, procurement, business/ professional services, with maximum 2 years of experience

  • Great personal skills, easy communicator and team player (nice compact team, high exposure stakeholders)

  • Excellent analytical skills (data analysis, advanced in Excel)

  • Good oral and written communication skills in English

  • Eager learner as the successful candidate will be dealing with a varied work package
