Philips Sr. Manager, Market Access, Solutions, Europe in Amsterdam, Netherlands

The Senior Manager, Market Access for Solutions / EUROPE / drives the integration of health economics and market access into the value proposition creation and evidence development plans for Philips Integrated Solutions in Key Focus Markets in Europe ( D ACH, N LB, F, UK *).

This includes current and evolving reimbursement models (such as value- / outcome-based payment/s; risk-sharing contracts; etc.) for clinical procedures, as well as evidence requirements, and related policies impacting the delivery of care in Philips’ targeted health spaces of cardiology, oncology, respiratory illnesses, and fertility. Additionally, when applicable, he/she will provide input on the economic value environment in which stakeholders for large-scale projects (LSPs) operate in Key Focus Markets in Europe.

He/she works in close collaboration with other members of the HEMA team, market facing groups such as Integrated Solutions, New Business Development, Sales & Marketing; and also Group Strategy and Research (when applicable) to coordinate all relevant Market Access activities with these groups.

This position comes with a strong element of business development and the responsibility to contribute to the realization of company sales targets.

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and driving implementation of overall market access strategies for Solutions Businesses targeting European Key Focus Markets.

  • Provides input into the development of clinical and economic value propositions for each of the proposed Solutions focusing on D ACH, N LB, F, UK .

  • Conceptualizes the scope of HEMA projects related to Integrated Solutions, assembling appropriate internal and external resources, and overseeing the team through completion.

  • Serves as the Market Access subject matter expert to inform Solutions strategy development and market implementation.

  • Working with the HEMA team, creates both strategic and tactical recommendations to the teams to ensure optimal market access for Solutions.

  • When appropriate, works collaboratively with customers and/or partners.

  • Conducts HEMA assessment for proposed partners, minority investments and/or due diligence targets for Solutions.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master’s /advanced degree preferred: business studies; [health care] economics; health care management; or other related fields of study.

  • At least 5-10 years of progressive work experience in medical devices (preferred); life sciences / biotech; health care management, health care IT; consulting and/or strategic planning required.

  • Background in communications, and hands-on sales and/or marketing experience a plus.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of economic and policy stakeholder/s decision-making; coverage, coding and payment pathways for medical devices in both private and public payer environment/s in Key Focus Markets in Europe.

  • Good understanding of health care systems in Key Focus Markets, and health policies affecting healthcare delivery models and financing pathways.

  • Knowledge of reimbursements systems in relevant markets, including coverage, coding and payment, and where applicable value- / outcome-based payment systems.

  • Strong communication skills that include verbal, written and presentation abilities.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities.

  • Outstanding consultative and networking capabilities.

  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time

  • Ability to skillfully negotiate in tough situations with both internal and external groups.

  • Understanding of organizational behavior, corporate culture and be able to flourish in a complex and rapidly evolving workplace.

  • Comprehensive understanding of industry and related accounting, budgeting and revenue analysis.

  • Languages: Native language / full professional proficiency in (at least) one Key Target Market language; full professional proficiency in English is a must.

  • Travelling in Europe required.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
