We challenge you to join Philips as a Credit Risk Analyst where you will manage the credit risk within a diversified portfolio of accounts related to sales on credit to customers. This role is performed within the North American shared services team in close cooperation with the Healthcare business in order to optimize the credit risk profile in the portfolio and in collaboration with collections, to maximize sales to customers and minimize write-offs.


The work location of this position will be Andover, MA


Analyze and determine the creditworthiness of new and existing customers using the Philips scoring methodology. Assign credit limits and risk categories according to a defined approval matrix in cooperation with the businesses we support

Perform portfolio management to identify specific industry and customer type credit risk

Prepare documentation for filing of UCC’s and other instruments used in securing credit decision

Authorize blocking or releasing of sales orders based on defined approval matrix with each business.

Maintain electronic credit files and ensure documentation is maintained for customers within the portfolio.

Your Team

Your team consists of credit risk professionals responsible for evaluating and managing the credit risk process for multiple organizations across North America in the core group of Philips businesses of Lighting, Healthcare, and Consumer Lifestyle. You will be a part of the North American Finance Operations Order-to-Cash team, reporting the Senior Manager, Credit Risk Management/Finance Operations- North America.

Candidate Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

Bachelor degree in F&A, Economics, or Business Administration

Must have experience with Financial statement analysis

Must have overall finance/credit risk experience overall

In depth understanding of customer and market needs and structure

Show determination to achieve excellent results

Good understanding of F&A processes and tools

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Team player


UCC’s, Letters of Credit, Guarantees

SAP experience an asset

What We Are Looking For

Finance Operations is looking for a self-starter and with financial statement and credit risk analysis skills and someone capable of executing on the established, metric as well as bring new ideas and process improvements to the table.

Successful candidates must display the following competencies:

Good communicator (written and verbal)

Business acumen

Guarding business integrity

Financial statement analysis for purposes of evaluating credit risk
