Software Development Engineer
Perform application integration into complex medical devices, with deep involvement in detailed embedded software development, working within the product application space. Desire unique challenges at the forefront of new medical device product design. Design and development of our Clinical Solution. The role requires excellent knowledge of application software development in close cooperation with our usability and design teams.
Keys to success in this role are intimate understanding in embedded software skills, software build systems, an imaginative translation of needs to product design, a disciplined adherence to regulatory mandated product development processes and commitment to thoroughness in the execution of plans.
Technical knowledge in the following areas will allow us to achieve success:
Excellent analytical skills applied to embedded software design.
Good problem solving skills to tackle complex application related questions.
Experience with embedded software development in an embedded Linux environment (i.e. C, C++ and gcc).
Experience with software distribution and build solutions such as Yocto.
Ability to create design verification test plans and willingness support execution of these plans.
Other Necessary skills
Excellent communication skills and work well in teams.
Ability to work in a highly multiplexed and multi-national team.
A strong commitment to high quality solutions.
Ability to handle ambiguity in early stage development.
Bachelor in Engineering, plus a minimum of 3 years of related experience required. Master degree preferred.
Desire to work in dynamic environment with challenging goals and grow skills beyond wireless to other (embedded) software and system development areas.
Familiarity with open source software packages.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python.
