Senior Development Engineer

Philips Hospital to Home (H2H) builds the leading ICU telehealth monitoring software in the world. We are looking for a talented senior software engineer who is passionate about building software and innovating in the telehealth space. This includes designing and developing new features and components for the flagship product eCareManager which is used to remotely care for 1000’s of critically-ill patient every day.

You are responsible for

  • Implement high quality software by following standards and writing automated tests

  • Work together with clinicians, product owners, testers, and other software developers in an Agile/Scrum environment

  • Formulate creative solutions to difficult problems

  • Drive technical discussions to create a high quality and performant software

  • Participate and drive architecture and design reviews for selected components

  • Drive execution and demonstrate end to end ownership of complex, technical features to successful completion

  • Provide coaching and technical mentorship to junior engineers

  • Troubleshoot customer escalated issues

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

Are you the Software Engineer we’re looking for? We want to hear from you have:

  • 10+ years of experience developing Microsoft Windows-based software products

  • Object oriented programming in a language such as C#

  • Microsoft Visual Studio 2015/2017 and the .NET Framework

  • Developing applications with Microsoft SQL Server Platform

  • HTML and JavaScript

  • XML and XSLT

We especially want to hear from you if have experience with:

  • Windows application development using WPF or WinForms

  • ASP.Net / MVC

  • Microsoft Message Queue (MSMQ)

  • HL7

  • Troubleshooting Windows Server-based software products

  • Performance tuning, memory profiling, usability, or automation

  • Developing medical related products

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

BS in computer science or related field
