Philips Design Lead .Net - UDM Extension in Bangalore, India

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Analyse and understanding the Software/Functional Requirements Specification

  • Responsible for the design, realization and test of a system, subsystem and component; understands and communicates consequences of the design on the architecture.

  • Develops the work with focus on consumer needs and technological competitiveness, and keeps this outside-in approach in mind for designs he creates.

  • Develops on the basis of design specifications in accordance with the functional specifications and tests, analyses and verifies their performance.

  • Contributing to Features/User stories for complex Epics/features, Architecture documents, Test strategy for the key modules

  • Provide technical guidance in a technical, functional/domain area, make all key technical decisions

  • Create (detailed) design within specified top level design/architecture

  • Define and implement key functional and non-functional aspects in the program.

  • Participate in peer reviews for project artifacts and ensure the quality of deliverables

  • Support in project estimation, planning and risk management activities

  • Keeps abreast of technical developments in own field through study, technical contacts, and propagates it

  • Acts as a role model for other technical members in the group

  • Provides inputs for the architecture/design of world class products

  • Advising Scrum Masters on the composition of the team required to complete the job

  • Guiding and coaching the project team in technology as and when applicable

  • Provides inputs for the architecture/design of world class products

  • Participants in PRP process improvement/tailoring

Key Skills/Competencies:

  • Strong in C#, C++,OOAD, UML, Design Patterns, SQL, Web services, WCF, Rest API

  • Experienced in Healthcare Domain (PACS, DICOM, HL7, IHE preferred)

  • Experience in working in teams and in defining solutions that contributes toward a reusable/shared architecture

  • A thorough understanding of Agile methodologies and metrics

  • Ability to mentor the team technically.

  • Strong Investigation, Analytical and Problem Solving skills

  • Identifies key technical risks and develop mitigation and recovery plan

  • Intrinsically motivated

  • Solid interpersonal skills and plays extremely well with others

  • Passion around facilitation, empowerment, and servant leadership

  • Knowledge of sound Agile Engineering Practices (TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, etc.)

A new team, which will consist of a team of 20 passionate engineers who will be based out of PIC under different organizations within HI BG
