Your responsibilities

As a Philips Solution Architect, you will collaborate with our most strategic (internal) customers and partners to bring new (digital) products to the market – in a fast-paced and highly competitive environment. In more detail, you will:

  • Have End2End ownership of the design process : Lead this process as a senior technical expert between all disciplines & stakeholders involved.

  • Be technically responsible : Lead the alignment of business and technical requirements during (external) architecture sessions regarding time, costs, and quality constraints.

  • Re-use strategies : Build and leverage existing technologies and platforms by bringing innovation and reusability into the development cycle.

  • Have architectural competence : Act as a Subject Matter Expert and contribute to the Philips Architectural Knowledge Base by supporting lead engineers with technology competence and coaching.

  • Be a business developer : Define the technology roadmap for your area of responsibility and actively address improvement opportunities. Build relationships with business partners, internally as well as externally.

We are looking for

  • A Master degree in computer science or a related field;

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in driving large scale software projects in all stages (design, development, operation, evolution, maintenance);

  • Thorough knowledge of (cloud) Architecture techniques, design patterns and technologies (Security, Rest, oAuth, OpenID, API management, deployment models, etc.);

  • Good knowledge of programming languages (Java, nodeJS, JavaScript, Angular) and Internet of Things developments;

  • An analytical, creative and abstract thinker, capable of finding and driving solution to complex problems;

  • Experience working according to agile development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe…) and working with multi-site software development and intercultural differences;

  • Strong communicator with excellent stakeholder management, negotiations and presentation skills (fluency in English, preferably also in Dutch);
