Philips Release Manager - O2C Health Systems in Bangalore, India

Your role:

The goal of a Release Manager is to bring new functionality live in a controlled way by not disturbing running systems.

Improve service quality and continually improve the day-to-day operations of the organization

Drive devops in your own area applying lean principles

Your key responsibilities are:

For Release Management:

  • Overall Program management for Release Management to define scope/schedule/planning and quality aspects

  • Come out with Platform release calendars based on the Enterprise release calendar.

  • Communicate and promote the process, initiate process improvements

  • Promote Release Management awareness and understanding within the Philips IT organization

  • Approving/Rejecting ( Approving Exceptions) projects/Changes

  • Monitoring and implementation of Release KPI

  • Determine number and duration of Release cycles including maintenance windows and system Refresh schedule.

  • Chair DMs/ACM/ITBP/IOM/OTL/Release Control Board (RCB) for release management

  • Drive DevOps in the respective DC’s

  • Assures compliance to the processes

  • Coordinates escalations between operations and delivery and assures we drive to resolution

  • Acts as facilitator: serves as a liaison between varying project managers and change mangers to guarantee smooth and timely

  • implementations of changes (adaptive, corrective and project changes) or updates on the system.

  • Mature in Release Management, working towards release when ready and implementation of configuration mgt if applicable
