Release Train Engineer is an operational leader (Chief Scrum Master) for a specific Agile Release Train who facilitates Agile Release Train level processes and execution, escalates impediments and drives continuous program level improvements.

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Be an operational leader (Chief Scrum Master) for a specific Agile Release Train and facilitate Agile Release Train level processes and execution, escalate impediments and drive continuous program level improvements.

You are responsible for

  • Accountable for preparation and execution of Program Increments

  • Accountable for timely delivery and quality of Agile Release Train deliverables

  • Ensure program increment planning readiness, vision, groomed increment backlogs and logistics

  • Drives Program Increment Planning Meeting

  • Participates in product release core team and program team as needed to ensure alignment between the different team and functions

  • Supports Product Manager and Product Owners in managing the Program Board for a Program Increment

  • Ensure necessary demo systems (ex: Field marketing, Events, other cross functions, customer demos etc.)

  • Provide necessary R&D support for bug bash, external evaluation, customer demos, any specific requirement for events (like RSNA, HIMSS, User Summit)

  • Represent Engineering function in project audits along with Release manager

  • Drives execution of Program Increment

  • Drives program-level continuous improvement and constant demonstration of Kaizen mind

The Enterprise Imaging and Clinical Informatics (EICI), Bangalore organization is 100+ member strong and has the complete ownership of the core IntelliSpace PACS solution with teams that are focused on delivering the next generation radiology client, solutions for the customer service staff, complete sustaining support and solution testing. The organization has end to end system ownership working in close collaboration with marketing, service and supply chain organizations to deliver on these solutions.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • A thorough understanding of Agile methodologies and metrics

  • Tremendous Organization and Communication skill

  • Solid interpersonal skills and plays extremely well with others

  • Passion around facilitation, empowerment, and servant leadership

  • Experienced with and within Scrum, Kanban, and/or XP teams

  • Knowledge of sound Agile Engineering Practices (TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, etc.)

  • Strong experience with Agile Lifecycle Management Tools (TFS)

  • Thinks beyond day-to-day activities

  • Persuades and facilitates rather than uses authority

  • Supports the teams’ commitments

  • Is open and appreciates openness in others

  • Encourages and supports the personal development of each individual and the development of teams
