Philips Technical Specialist - Automation Testing in Bangalore, India

Key Area of Responsibilities

  • Key POC at BLR site for automation. Collaborate with counterparts in San Diego and Rancho Cordova to support One Team vision

  • Analyze and understanding the Software/Functional Test cases

  • Develop automation test plans and strategies on the responsible area

  • Responsible for the design, realization and automation of a system, subsystem and component

  • Create (detailed) design architecture for framework

  • Define and implement key functional and non-functional test suites for the product

  • Participate in peer reviews for project artifacts and ensure the quality of deliverables

  • Manage automation estimation, planning and risk management activities

  • Keeps abreast of technical developments in own field through study, technical contacts, and propagates it

  • Provides E2E solutions to automation suites

  • Define & drive automation quality improvement initiatives, deploy right tooling for automation quality & productivity improvement

  • Provide the effort estimation for the responsible area

  • Drive the implementation of test plans and test strategies

  • Close communication and coordination with San Diego and Rancho Cordova sites

  • Provide weekly status update to management on team progress

  • Participate in project core team meetings

  • Participate in design & code reviews and technical documentation reviews

  • Be able to travel to US on a needed basis to ensure successful team interaction and collaboration

Key Skills/Competencies:

  • Strong in C#, C++, UML, Design Pattern, SQL

  • Experienced in Healthcare Domain (PACS, DICOM, HL7, IHE preferred)

  • Experience in working in teams and in defining solutions that contributes toward a reusable/shared architecture

  • Strong Investigation, Analytical and Problem Solving skills

  • Identifies key technical risks and develop mitigation and recovery plan

  • Solid interpersonal skills and plays extremely well with others

  • Knowledge of sound Agile Engineering Practices (TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, etc.)

  • Excellent hands on experience in design or development of E2E system test strategy including NFRs (Load, Performance, Reliability and Security)

  • Good hands on experience in designing and setting up of the test environments, tools selection, test data needs and Test Automation frameworks
