Our lead product, TissueMark combines sophisticated image analysis of ‘big data’ (terabytes of image data) with a straightforward no nonsense workflow that supports pathologists by automatically marking up tumour on a digital image. This saves clinics/hospitals time and money and improves accuracy by reducing false negatives.
The role will involve the design and development of web-based products to support cancer detection and drug discovery. Successful candidates will work as part of the existing Product Development team and tasks will include, but are not limited to;
Using modern technologies (HTML5, CSS3, ASP.NET) to develop web based applications for the viewing, analysis and management of medical images
Contribute to best practices, design patterns and identify opportunities to refactor code
Understand requirements (user stories) and make technical design decisions to fulfil them
To assist in defining the team's technical strategy and advising on product roadmaps
Assists in the estimation of work for the web development team
Provide on-going support and mentoring to the junior software developers in the R&D team
Take an active role in all parts of the development life cycle (requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment and support)
Writing automated unit and integration tests, within automated test environments to ensure code quality
This position reports into the R&D Manager and is based from our office in Belfast.

We are looking for
2:1 degree or above in Computer Science or equivalent
A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Software Developer/Engineer
Strong software development skills and experience of building web applications from initial specification to final deployment and acceptance
Experience of writing and building unit and integration tests
A quick learner who is looking for new challenges and responsibilities in an innovative software company
Hard working, disciplined, self-motivated and focused
Knowledge of Internet Information Servers (IIS)
Experience of NHibernate, Spring and REST/SOAP Web services
Experience of working with a continuous integration environment
Experience in database design, development and SQL programming
