Philips Market Procurement Specialist - Real Estate in Best, Netherlands

This role is part of the Philips IMS Procurement organization. This organization is responsible for all procurement activities related to Indirect Materials and Services. In this position you will be leading the procurement activities for assigned commodities in the Benelux. You will be involved in tasks within the area of Real Estate, Mobility and Facility Management.

Your responsibilities

Customer side:

  • Act as a single point of contact towards the internal demand side to establish customer needs and requirements

  • Lead the development & implementation of an integrated set of purchasing actions, anticipating the needs of the business

  • Lead and / or support purchasing related projects

  • Execute business review meetings with the customer to reflect changing business needs and requirements in the strategies

  • Monitor main outsourced technologies & supply market trends in order to improve efficiency and reduce total costs

  • Provide regular reports to customers that monitor added value, compliance and savings

Supplier side:

  • Identify, qualify, rank and select appropriate suppliers including adequate involvement of customer and according to RFQ. Continuously optimize the supply base (quality and number) on responsible sites and work towards total cost of ownership; develop supplier partnerships

  • Monitor and analyze supplier performance, following/using supplier performance feedback programs

  • Maintain supplier relationships to ensure partnership

  • Lead the negotiations and the process with the assigned supplier ensuring total cost of ownership to support the profitability objectives for the customer and Royal Philips

  • Be responsible for cost control, flexibility, quality, delivery and long-term assurance of supply objectives within the supply base are established and achieved

Supply market development:

  • Participate in the development & deployment of the overall Philips Purchasing policy

  • Achieve maximum performance (leverage) by actively using the sourcing network, respectively by bringing local requirements into the commodity team in order to initiate improvements to the commodity strategy

  • Propose optimization initiatives for supply management processes to deliver upon strategic intent

  • Perform benchmarks to (ultimately) plan and optimize the best possible purchasing activity and business plan. This is also used to determine possibilities for creating synergies across internal businesses or processes.

You will be closely working with senior management to support their projects, campaigns or events with best in class procurement capabilities in the area of Source-to-Contract. The Benelux Market procurement team consists of 13 Market procurement specialist in multiple locations. All with a performance responsibility for a number of commodities with a spend scope of 30-80M Euro. These positions report all to the Senior Director for Market Procurement Benelux.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • 8-10 years of experience in procurement, with experience in Real Estate and related disciplines

  • Master's degree in a related discipline

  • Advanced skills in stakeholder management

  • Result-oriented

  • Hands-on driven in order to achieve goals

  • Accurate and strive for quality

  • Clear communication

  • Project oriented working

  • Fact-based and objective

  • Fluency in English and preferably also in Dutch
