Philips Parts Recovery Manager in Best, Netherlands

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Lead the parts recovery organization in Best (NL) and Cleveland (USA), ensuring that material recovered from field upgrades, RS back-ends and (de-) installation material is reused as much as possible after approval and testing. The Parts Recovery Manager ensures close collaboration and business agreements between RS (mainly OPS, Q&R), BIUs (mainly R&D, CS, Q&R, OPS), SPS and other business organizations and functions (like SCM SVAL) in Philips.

You are responsible for

The Parts Recovery Manager is responsible of developing new business opportunities with external parties (suppliers) and lead projects to increase parts recovery in joined collaboration with BIU Procurement.

  • Coordinate the source, harvest, test and deliver processes of recovered parts in full cooperation with RS Operations and Trade-In.

  • Define goals and targets for RS parts recovery business

  • Develop and execute business plans

  • Expand the recovery volumes across Imaging Systems (IS) modalities

  • Look for new business opportunities with OEM suppliers

  • Collaborate in projects to avoid redesigns, Last Time Buys (LTBs) and support for End of Life/Service (EoL/EoS) contract extensions

  • Set Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Quality agreements with RS, SPS and BIUs

  • Support to the overall Circular Economy Program

  • Participate in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment

You are a part of

The Parts Recovery Manager manages a team of seven people (Best and Cleveland), which can grow depending on volume and reports to the Business Lead of Refurbished Systems.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Master or Bachelor in Engineering or equivalent

  • At least 5 years of working experience

  • Good management and stakeholder management skills (if you don’t have management experience yet but think you are a born manager, please don’t hesitate to apply)

  • Result oriented self-starter with excellent communication and people skills

  • Conceptual thinking and analytical skills, eager to learn and share

  • Entrepreneurial and creative mindset
