Philips Senior Director HR IGT Systems in Best, Netherlands

Within Philips Healthtech, reporting to the BG Image Guided Therapy (IGT), the Business Unit (BU) Image Guided Therapy Systems is responsible for marketing, development and manufacturing of interventional systems in the area of cardiac, vascular, neuro, etc., for medical diagnosis and intervention (e.g. balloon angioplasty and stent procedures), and surgery. Customers are interventional specialists and surgeons operating in a wide variety of hospitals across the globe. New product development projects usually take 2 to 3 years and contain software, (digital) hardware and mechatronics systems. It is a global business of about 1600 employees with main sites in Best, NL and Bangalore and Pune, India.

The HRBP BU IGT systems is responsible for partnering with the Business Leader and the IGT systems MT to provide comprehensive HR support and strategic HR advice to the organization and help drive transformation efforts. As such, the job incumbent will be required to develop and implement strategic change management and HR plans and programs that directly support the annual operating plans, programs and objectives of the business.

As a key member of the IGT systems Management Team, the HR BP participates in the development and execution of the overall business strategy and is responsible to translate that business strategy into an HR agenda which increases business performance.

In order to accomplish the above, the HR BP effectively partners with the HR Generalist pools and the HR Shared Services groups in the various countries in which the business operates.

  • Partner with the BU MT to create and drive the business strategy. Translate the BU business strategy into a people and talent agenda

  • As integral member of the BG IGT HR Leadership team, co-develop the People agenda for the BG and drive the implementation of that agenda.

  • Provide strategic advice to leadership team members on people-related issues. Challenge the leadership team - as appropriate - in order to ensure integrated people and talent strategies, and fair people management approaches

  • Build BU talent overall, including cross market/region talent plans, sharing of resources, and coaching /mentoring of top talent

  • Identify competency, knowledge and talent gaps to build leadership capability and develop and implement targeted solutions that address resulting gaps. Do this in conjunction with the IGT BG and the Learning, Talent and Leadership Development organization.

  • Operate as an internal business consultant, acting as a change agent on key people and organizational issues so as to create a strong performance culture. Own, and personally drive change programs as appropriate.

  • Broker and ensure the delivery of HR support and services from Philips HR Shared Services organizations.

  • Effectively interact with local workers council for the implementation of key organizational change initiatives

  • Drive and own workforce planning and headcount control processes

  • Promote performance planning management and other organizational development/people activities to continually improve organizational effectiveness and required skill set upgrades.

  • Act as a key player in facilitating the selection process for critical senior level roles throughout the organization. Ensures that cross-fertilization of skills and backgrounds is achieved in all appointments. Drives and champions diversity initiatives as appropriate.

You are a part of

the HR –team for Business Group Image Guided Therapy. This team exist of 8 fte and works closely with the HR Leader for this Business Group. You will report to the Head of HR Business Group Image Guided Therapy as well as to the Business Leader for IGT Systems

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • BS/BA degree, MBA preferred

  • Minimum of 10 years strategic HR experience with recent experience supporting a large, complex organization

  • Demonstrated success in all HR functional areas within a technically focused environment. Must be hands on and capable of delivering work with a lean organization

  • Leadership expertise – strong conceptual ability to set clear direction, strategies and goals for a geographically dispersed HR team with a strong track record of execution

  • Demonstrated success conducting comprehensive needs analysis, organization design and development initiatives, implementing change and transformation efforts, and organization structures while providing ongoing optimization efforts

  • Strong business acumen

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and deep people insights

  • Able to collaborate cross-functionally and globally.

  • Strong intellect, strategic and conceptual skills
