Philips Senior Test & Release Architect in Best, Netherlands
You are working in a multi-discipline system level project team with the assignment to define and manage the integration, verification & release activities for Image Guided Therapy systems (X-Ray system modality) by delivering the required design control evidence. You align the test approach and strategy with the technical lead and project architect of the system project. In the project team you are responsible for the system test team (system test designers / engineers) using your leader and project management skills. You report the status (progress) and result to the project core team and give advice about the achieved product quality and functionality with respect to system release.
Your responsibilities within this Test and Release Architect role will include:
Build complete design verification and product release evidence.
Provide product quality insight during the complete project lifecycle.
Define and deploy an integration and verification test strategy to enable an efficient and effective product release and aligned with the validation strategy.
Realize risk based integration and verification strategy and a resource plan with Work Breakdown Structure.
Covers the right part of V-model starting with system Integration and system verification; counterpart of technical lead or system designer in project, who covers left part of V-model and agree with validation lead about the validation strategy.
Supports Technical lead and/or Integral Project Manager with plan and planning
Pro-active contributions to Integration, Design Verification and Release improvements, efficiency & effectiveness improvements.
Contribute to department plans, strategies and roadmap activities.
You will be part of the Business Unit Image Guided Therapy (IGT) systems within Philips Healthcare at http://www.healthcare.philips.com/main/ . This Business Unit is responsible for marketing, service, development and manufacturing of IGT systems used in the area of cardiac and vascular medical diagnosis and intervention. The customers are hospitals and their medical specialists. You have 5 system test designer colleagues and you are the test lead in product development project leading the test team that are typically larger than 20 man-years and contain software, (digital) electronics and mechatronics components.

We are looking for a candidate with
Master or Bachelor degree (biomedical engineering, mechatronica, mechanical engineering)
5 years of proven leadership and project management skills
Good people management skills and has experience in working in project teams (>25 people)
Proven ISEB/ISTQB Foundation level knowledge
A strong quality drive and has the ability to handle cultural differences and foreign development teams (multi-site development/testing).
Who is pro-active and wants to learn, but also has an eye for further improvements
In-depth knowledge of test processes, strategies & techniques as well as regulatory rules and experience.
Detailed understanding of Risk Analysis, Test Design and Test Techniques & Methods.
Preferable knowledge of the medical domain and its regulations
