For this vacancy you will define, improve and secure the serviceability of the products of the MR business unit as a Service Innovation Product Specialist. You will have a keen eye on satisfying our customers and sustaining a healthy service business. For the role the main focus areas are software, networking (connectivity) and remote service.
The Service Innovation Product Specialist is part of Service Innovation and participates in the Product Realization Process (PRP) of MR in order to realize serviceability and related service deliverables. You work in a global environment and you align with other disciplines/teams to achieve the agreed serviceability goals.
As a Service Innovation Product Specialist you are responsible to:
Formulate requirements on service software in order to help the (remote) Field Service Engineer to diagnose and resolve product issues. You will participate in engineering teams, project teams and work with Global Customer Services to drive improvements
Help in building and protecting our service business by creating tailored solutions (documentation, tools) for the various service providers (Philips, independent service organizations and others) based on our Customer Service Intellectual Property concept.
Validate the service functionalities and overall serviceability before product release.
Define and create the required documentation and e-information.
Participate in technology studies to represent the service point of view, investigate the implication of this new technology on the service processes, translate this into business impact and defend this in the project team.
Identify serviceability and reliability improvements in the Installed Base. Drivers for action are for instance feedback from field engineers, customer complaints, call rate, and time to (remotely) diagnose and repair.
Cooperate with your peers within the MR Customer Service department, the field organization and the Service Architect, to set out the serviceability roadmap related to your focus areas.
The Business Innovation Unit Magnetic Resonance is a leading supplier for 1st line screening technology in hospitals. MR is one of the youngest and most innovative imaging technologies and is growing in applications but also in complexity of the systems and their acquisition techniques. For our younger population, it’s the most suitable technology for soft tissue imaging due to its non-invasive character. Also, the imaging of neurologic and cardiovascular structures is of key importance for our MR products.
You will be part of the MR Customer Service team. The Customer Service team is a global team, with its main operations based in Best and the US, with a total of approximately 100 FTE working in the group.
This specific position is part of the Service Innovation group of Customer Service. It is the responsibility of the Service Innovation group (10 employees) to define the service requirements, information and processes required to support the Regional Service organizations and their engineers with installation, corrective and preventive maintenance actions on Philips MR scanners. Support is provided by means of electronic service documentation, diagnostic tools (data analysis), and backup to the 3rd line helpdesk, on site assistance and by securing the availability of spare parts.
We are looking for
To be successful in this role you have;
Software related Master Degree (e.g. Software, Electronics or Physics).
5+ years of experience related to connectivity in product development.
Experience in a Service Department in a complex Product Development environment.
Knowledge in DICOM ( Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine ) would be a plus.

Able to work in multidisciplinary and multi-site project oriented environments. Well organized and analytical
