Your challenge

Within Philips Healthcare we are working on a completely newly designed Scanning Software Platform for our Magnetic Resonance Imaging systems (MRI Systems).

Your responsibilities

  • Responsible for the detailed requirements, the re-design, and implementation of parts of the scanning software;

  • Gather, define and write the detailed requirements specifications, usually based upon higher level system requirements & the system design specification;

  • Create a design of the software, on the basis of the detailed requirements, so that the software in question will be reliable, efficient, and easy to maintain;

  • Define the detailed test design and test specifications.

You will be working in the Business Innovation Unit Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) within Philips Healthcare at . The Business Innovation Unit MRI is a leading supplier for 1st line screening technology in Hospitals.

MRI is one of the youngest and most innovative imaging technologies and is growing in applications but also in complexity of the systems and their acquisition techniques. It is the most suitable technology for soft tissue imaging due to its non-invasive character. Also, the imaging of neurologic and cardiovascular structures is of key importance for our MRI products.

We are looking for

Required skills

  • Master’s degree in a software related study (Informatics, Physics or Mathematics);

  • 3 to 6 years working experience;

  • Who has extensive experience with C++ / C#

  • Preferably in an Object Oriented (OO) environment;

  • Scripting languages – Ruby, Perl


  • Knowledge on MRI related topics is a pré

  • Experience in Healthcare or a regulated industry is a strong advantage
