Philips Supplier Account Manager in Best, Netherlands
Are you the procurement (senior) manager who will implementing strategic plans for commodity Subsystems? Philips is looking for a Accountmanager Suppliers Subsytems!
In this role you will be working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, mainly located in Europe, to develop and implement strategic commodity plans at the lowest total cost (TCO) to meet the defined requirements within the Procurement function.
The scope covers both manufacturing and Service (spare parts) for different Philips sites in Europe.
As accountmanager you will have accountability for overall supplier relationship management in the portfolio including overall cost out, supplier performance, contracting and supplier transfer.
Your main responses in this role are (but not limited to):
Manage a portfolio of app. 40M€ spend on electromechanical subassemblies (mainly cables) dedicated to Medical equipment
Execute the Global strategy, promoting the preferred suppliers with the Business units
Lead Supplier performance evaluation
Drive contract and price negotiations
Gather relevant benchmark data, supply market intelligence information
Lead or participate in the RFQ generation and supplier selection process
Apply continuous improvement of processes & technologies to support materials & service
Contribute to supplier risk identification/assessment and propose mitigation plan
Ensures compliance to procurement Policy
Support Quality Team regarding supplier Quality assurance document collection
You will be part of the Global Commodity Management Team. You will report to the Regional Commodity Leader in the Netherlands working in close cooperation with the Global Commodity Managers.
You can work from location Best in the Netherlands or the Stuttgart area in Germany.

Our preferred candidates matches the following requirements:
Graduate from technical university with Master degree, preferably mechanical or electrical engineering with business management
Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in an international environment
Skills on cables preferred, medical industry is a plus
Strong leadership skills
Ability to work in a matrix and remote environment
Flexible, ability to deal with uncertainty in a challenging environment
Able to withstand pressure and be a good team player
Excellent communication skills, oral and written
Excellent negotiation skills
Fluent in English and German are required
Willingness to travel up to 30%
