Philips Clinical Product Specialist (m/f) Patient Monitoring in Boblingen, Germany

Essential/Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Provide clinical content knowledge to Research and Development for products currently in development and for future products

  • Collaborates with Clinical Product Specialists team to accomplish business goals.

  • Function as a clinical consultant for Quality & Regulatory, Marcom, Marketing, Product Marketing, Product Support Engineers, software and hardware development engineers

  • Collaborate with product managers to interpret customer feedback and develop Device Requirements

  • Participate in Cross Functional Team and Classification meetings for assigned products

  • Participate in Risk Management and Risk Analysis processes

  • Collaborate with writers for development of clinical user product documentation

  • Review all internal and external product specification material

  • Develop standard clinical customer training materials (e.g. Computer-based training, videos, web-based material; configuration checklists)

  • Develop advanced training material (e.g. clinical application notes)

  • Develop and deliver training strategies for worldwide field clinical specialists and Support Engineers

  • Maintain an awareness of competitive products/companies and customer perceptions

  • Provide released product support to Customer Care Solution Center

  • Maintain an awareness of current worldwide clinical use models in health care environment

  • Maintain an awareness and seek educational opportunities regarding training strategies

  • Keep abreast of hospital governing standards (e.g. HIPAA, JCAHO) and the relative significance to Patient Monitoring products.

  • Some (20%) travel required

Job Requirements

  • Clinical License/Degree

  • Strong knowledge of clinical use models required

  • Strong demonstrated independent leadership and business judgment skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills at all organizational levels

  • In depth knowledge of the Philips Patient monitoring product set preferred

  • Experience in nursing education preferred

  • Experience in multimedia training strategy development preferred.

Department

As a member of the Patient Monitoring Learning Products Team you provide deliverables on time and within budget. You develop training strategies and materials for Philips field Clinical Specialists, Support Engineers and clinical end-users. The Clinical Product Specialist provides consultation on clinical practice as it applies to patient monitoring to R&D and Marketing teams to help defining and refining product development. You serve as the voice of the clinical customers for various business processes. 

You are responsible for

  • Define, design, and write learning products. Deliverables are for end-users (customers), and for Philips training personnel. They may include online help systems, configuration documention and tools.

  • Collaboration with technical writers for development of clinical user product documentation.

  • Develop clinical customer training materials (e.g. Computer-based training, videos, webbasedmaterial, application notes, configuration checklists) deliverables for Philips’ worldleading families of critical care and obstetrical patient monitors.

  • Develop and deliver training for worldwide field clinical specialists and Support Engineers

  • Provide clinical content knowledge in Research and Development for products currently in development and future products

  • Function as a clinical consultant

  • Collaborate with product managers to interpret customer feedback and develop Device
