Philips Intern in Pricing (m/f) in Boblingen, Germany

1) To provide direct assistance to Sr Pricing Manaer to build up a Global Reference model for PCMS. 2) To provide direct help to Pricing Manager to build pricing proposals for markets to use for comercial pricing implementation

Your challenge

We are in the process of creating a brand new Global Reference Pricing model, which will impact the price creation and maintenance process of a 2.5B Euro business. Since we are starting from scratch, there is lots of room to work innovatively. The biggest challenges are our vast product range as well as different legacy pricing process that needed to be aligned into a unified new process. This will include also a changes in the IT system side as well as combining a new Global Pricing Framework and Global Pricing Strategy into this new design.

We are looking for an intern that is a natural problem solver to help us build up a very complex model.

Your responsibilities

  • To help the Global Pricing team to build up a Global Reference Price model

  • To setup a Proof of Concept and run a pilot project with one Product Line within one Market

  • To provide all of the necessary analytics mapping the legacy prices into the new reference model

  • Validating all new prices with the Business and Market Sales and Marketing team

  • Help to plan and roll out the pilot model into rest of the world/business/products

Your team

The PCMS global pricing team is consists of 7 Global Pricing Managers, 5 are located in Germany, one in US and one in the Netherlands. The team is led by the Direct of Global Pricing and supported by an Administrative Assistant.

To be considered, you should possess the following:

  • Currently pursuing a Masters degree in a relevant discipline i.e. Finance, Business Administration

  • Ideally already pricing related working experience, Project Management experience is high want

  • Good business understanding and result orientation

  • Strong analytical & problem solving skills and advanced knowledge in Excel

  • Strong communications skills in English

  • Ability to work in a team-based environment
