Philips Sales and Business Development Manager - PCMS Lifecycle Business (m/f) in Boblingen, Germany
The purpose of the job is to identify and generate new business areas/opportunities through acting as catalyst and initiator of new business development, which actually contributes to the growth of the business. The Sales/ Business Development Manager (SBDM) identifies truly new portfolio opportunities arising from both inside as well outside Philips, prepares proposals for management to get financial support to pursue these new opportunities, successfully launches and supports the realization of the approved business plan and is also involved in the realization of a new business line if necessary. The SBDM can be operating on different levels (Sector, BG, BU, Market) and is differentiated from the Product Strategy & Marketing Manager by the target that new business initiatives are not part of the planned product roadmap nor within the scope of the existing business.
Generate new business ideas through independent scouting of internal and external sources, thus adding to the pipeline of unqualified business opportunities, which are out of scope for the existing Business Lines
Determine the attractiveness of identified business ideas and develop compelling business cases, in order to get qualification by management and the necessary budget for further development into a business plan
Develop the final business plan, including the implementation (project scope, content, deliverables, milestones, budget), such that management is able to decide on the project and the financial risks
Analyze and summarize relevant market inputs upstream towards the business group and the business innovation units, underpinned with tangible market data or business case
Leading cross functional/ international projects. Own and manage the first-step-implementation of the final approved business plan, by assembling a project team for the initial phase, plan and organise the project, lead the project team until the agreed milestone has been reached
Leads the complete execution of the business plan for a new Business Line into full operation, including cooperation with external partner and development of new sales channels
Master’s degree in relevant field; MBA preferred
Proven experience in marketing, sales or related field
At least 5 years experience in healthcare business, preferably clinical experience
Experience in business planning (working with markets on product launches, AOP planning, business development) and analyzing stakeholder environments
Proven and respected domain expertise for a specific business/ segment.
Experience in leading complex business development projects
Ability to think beyond existing boundaries (inside or outside Philips), deep understanding of customer challenges and being able to translate this into holistic solutions
Deep Healthcare Market & Business understanding
Professional knowledge of marketing/sales methods, type of market and used technology
Supports implementation, member and in some cases leader of the project team
Fluent in english and german language
