Product Development Leader
The Connected Sensing Venture is designed to serve and enable our HealthTech customers and Philips businesses to capture the emerging value in the increasingly digital, connected world of wearable monitoring. The venture will work to collaborate across HealthTech to re-imagine, develop and deliver connected sensing solutions for our professional customers.

Key areas of responsibility:
Is a member of the Connected Sensing Development Management Team and determines, in consultation with the Management Team, the department’s objectives, policies, processes and budgets on short and long term, makes sure that the organization can meet the objectives and ensures that the roles and responsibilities are put in place.
Hire and staff highly skilled Venture R&D Proposition Engineering group in a swift manner.
Formulates and implements longer term vision/direction/strategy: steering the group to add maximum value to the business in the future. Content-wise inspires and contributes to cross-organizational strategy and project teams working on innovation themes and breakthroughs.
Manages capabilities of the department; to develop and maintain a long term view on the required competences and knowledge to introduce new technology. Ensures that there are adequate resources and tools at the proper time, is responsible for the technology and architecture in the department, and is responsible for maintaining and improving the department’s knowledge and expertise.
Ensures an engaged, innovative, and inspiring working environment in the department by motivating, challenging, and coaching the department’s employees towards growth, manages and optimizes the innovative climate, stimulating entrepreneurship and driving engagement.
Knowledge & critical experiences:
BS in relevant area (Physics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering). Advanced technical or business degree strongly preferred.
10+ year’s and leadership experience in a professional and successful medical devices environment.
Previous experience in remote monitoring, sensors, bridge and cloud technology a plus.
Strong knowledge in wearables technology
Prior experience in domestic and international medical device quality standards.
Proven affinity with managing innovation projects in a business environment, leading several professional teams of different technological areas.
Demonstrated success managing new product development teams
Ability to manage organization with development centers in multi locations. Excellent communication skills and superior problem solving skills.
Ensures the department's output and performance are in line with innovation partners expectations (both short-term and long-term).
Responsible for improvement of key processes of the department;
Manages cost in line with AOP, RoFo and Project Budgets
