Philips Data Management Solutions Program Manager in Bothell, Washington

Your challenge

As the incumbent of this Data Management Solutions Program Manager role within Philips, Emergency Care and Resuscitation (ECR), your challenge will be to give direction and lead programs which are essential to ECR and our customers. Specifically, this role focuses on Data Management Solutions that connect our devices to the cloud. Our defibrillators save lives every day.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as principal point of contact with senior management to assure management understanding of the state of the program, appropriate teamwork, adequate resources, reports, and program status.

  • Responsible for supporting development activities: program planning; work specifications; estimation of cost; program requirements; establishment of program controls and budgets, and the monitoring and reporting on the program

  • Establish and monitor adherence to program plans and schedules, preparing and issuing operational and program directives.

  • Define and direct the performance of program functional task elements such as procurement, manufacturing, quality, configuration, logistics, administrative functions, facilities, etc.

  • Review and approve all contract changes with special attention paid to cost, schedule and risk elements and assure the senior management team is aware of program changes.

  • Assure effective communication and teamwork among all functional department heads and program functional team members contributing to the Program. Develop and inspire program teams to reach high performance and positive results.

  • Conduct periodic program status review meetings with major program contributors, report status relative to all aspects of program objectives, and assure resolution of program performance problems.

  • Ensure clear quality goals are created and communicated that ensures the team has clear targets to enable top quality delivery the first time.

  • Participate in formulating plans and objectives for the program area and generally review and approve projects and their implementation within the various functional areas.

  • Foster the resolution of major problems and coordinate efforts among all management disciplines as necessary to assure corrective action.

  • Liaison with Data Management Solutions Group team and New Product Introduction Programs

  • Facilitate scrum teams across Data Management Solutions Group

  • Collaborate with ECR program managers within Program Management Office (PMO)

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree required. Advanced degree/MBA a plus

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in medical device industry

  • Project management certification (PMP) or equivalent desired; Agile experience (Scrum Master, SAFe) desired

  • 10+ years of functional and/or program management experience in a matrix environment, across multiple sites, and through the entire product lifecycle

  • Experience working in more than one functional area (operations, engineering, purchasing, quality, sales, etc.), with deep understanding of R&D product development preferred.

  • Strong people management skills, including: leadership, conflict resolution, negotiation and influence management

  • Managed large scale programs (duration over 1 year, 5M+ budget)

  • Strong presentation and written skills, appropriate to both management and customer audiences

  • Apply continuous improvement concepts, methodologies and deployment (Lean, Six Sigma)

  • Able to manage own work and accomplish objectives through others without supervision.

  • Excellent time management, analytical and listening skills.

  • Demonstrated effective problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, presentation, customer service and conflict resolution skills.

  • Ability to travel domestically (less than 10%)

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
