Your challenge

The biggest challenge for planning in the service environment is balancing our Global Ultrasound Service inventory investment with customer service targets in an end to end planning environment. This position will be responsible to ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining material availability and optimizing inventory to meet global targets. Responsibilities include:

• Planning material to support repair shop and field service requirements.

• Expediting new buys and repairs with external and internal suppliers.

• Working with repair vendors to provide on time delivery and high quality.

• Analyzing inventory requirements and disposition of excess and obsolete material.

• Lifecycle related analysis including last time buys, total lifecycle cost, and repair decisions.

• Analysis of failure rates, historical or projected, to forecast demand and inventory requirements through all phases of product support.

Service Operations is the global provider of Ultrasound spare parts. We repair, upgrade and test an average of 8,000 PCBs and OEMs per month in direct support of Field Service Engineers, Bio-Meds and customers. The Planning group is a high performance, self-starting work team who has contributed significantly to our #1 IMV status 21 years running.

We are looking for

• ERP/MRP experience

• Minimum 5+ years related experience

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

• SAP experience

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, and Access

Your Challenge

You are responsible for

  • Planning material to support repair shop and field service requirements.

  • Expediting new buys and repairs with external and internal suppliers.

  • Analyzing inventory requirements and disposition of excess and obsolete material.

  • Lifecycle related analysis including last time buys, total lifecycle cost, and repair decisions.

  • Analysis of failure rates, historical or projected, to forecast demand and inventory requirements through all phases of product support.

  • Works as a Supply Planner on problems of diverse scope where analysis of supply planning data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

  • The development of the solution requires a multi-disciplinary approach and knowledge of supply planning principles, theories and concepts.

  • Formulates the solution for (technical) problems that cannot be found by combining previous experiences but by composing newly acquired supply planning knowledge.

  • May lead multi-disciplinary supply planning change projects, managing a number of people. Works independently and provides consultative advice within specific functional areas.

  • Introduces supply planning methods/procedures that are new for the organization. Applies advanced supply planning process principles to multiple tasks.

  • Proficient in area of specialization and contributes in other disciplines. Determines feasibility of supply planning concepts or projects. Has basic knowledge of related disciplines.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
