In this role, you have the opportunity to

We are looking for a Verification and Validation Technician to join our Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) V&V team to support both new product development and sustaining.

You are responsible for

  • Supporting product verification through development, manufacturing and into continuation

  • Performing verification tests at internal and external test labs

  • Identify and document technical issues during verification

  • Provide clear and concise feedback on test procedures to engineers

  • Clean and organize R&D Lab environment; build tools for verification purposes

  • Support parts and equipment purchase; equipment calibration

  • Support process improvements and lean product development efforts

You are a part of

Automatic External Defibrillator Product Development and you will be part of the life-saving equipment needed to increase sudden cardiac arrest survival rates from the unnecessarily low 8% nationally to rates of over 60% survival like King County, WA. To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in electronic design, test and manufacturing

  • Experience desired in a regulated industry like medical or aerospace

  • Minimum 2 yr Electronic Technician degree/certification or equivalent is required

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of microelectronic circuits and components required

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of common business software required (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of product development processes for microelectronic circuits required

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of bench top test instrumentation control and use

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of verification methodologies

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of software development methodologies

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of ANSI, IEC, and homologation standards desirable

  • Excellent design, problem solving and documentation skills required

  • Excellent attention to detail required

  • Good verbal and written communication skills required

  • Good organizational skills required

  • Must be self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
