Philips System Engineer - DOORs Administrator in Bothell, Washington

Philips Healthcare’s Emergency Care and Resuscitation (ECR) business unit is looking for a Systems Individual contributor. In this position, you will be responsible for the IBM Rational DOORS database management across multiple programs. You will create and structure the structure IBM Rational DOORS projects, develop common requirements management tools and processes.

You will work collaboratively with the entire technical cross functional team for life saving and life sustaining devices that are used in hospitals and pre-hospital situations globally.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

•Create standard methods for developing and managing IBM Rational DOORS modules and projects

•Administer the DOORS database, including user access and new project structure and creation

•Define module structures and attributes

•Develop configuration management processes for DOORS and aligning with other CM tools

•Import requirements/capabilities documents

•Maintain requirements traces and linking requirements

•Import/export archived projects or modules for external sources

•Requirements definition, flow-down and traceability for complex electronic systems

•System design synthesis of simple systems

•Train program engineers in the daily usage of DOORS

•Systems engineering experience with requirement specifications, requirement traceability and system verification

•Ability to customize DOORS using DOORS eXtension Language (DXL) scripts as needed

•Experience/familiarity with IBM Rational Publishing Engine


•Expertise in IBM Rational DOORs

•Working with Rational Publishing Engine to generate documents in DOORs

•Proven leadership ability with the experience of leading both directly and by influence, multi-functional teams.

•Proven ability to work with mission and/or safety critical products in a highly regulated industry.

•Experience in system level design requirements

•Proven ability to communicate in both verbal and written form to technical and non-technical customers, stakeholders, and various levels of management.

•BS in a related technical field (EE, ME, Bio medical, Systems Engineering or Computer Engineering).
