This implies more complex engagements with suppliers, customers, consultants, (sub-) contractors, service providers, financing institutions B2C and B2G etc.

At the same time we are shifting focus to generate growth in the next frontier of emerging markets whilst empowering Markets and Countries more and more to ensure local relevance and step up entrepreneurship.

The above coupled with public pressure and stricter regulations, countries and markets must be properly supported in the proactive identifying, assessing, mitigating and monitoring of risks to ensure an integrated and structured risk management process for the Market to deliver on its strategy and financial milestones in a sustainable manner.

Your challenge:

As a Head of Risk Management you lead the risk management activities in the Market CEE and act as the local representative in the Market CEE and ambassador for the Risk Management and Business Development Group as resides in Group Markets.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Support and advise to the Market management by the pro-active identification, assessment, mitigating and monitoring of risks (strategic, operational, financial, compliance) related to new business-models (such as SPV’s), systems and services, strategic partnerships and Long Term Strategic Partnerships and other commercial innovation initiatives;

  • Ensure compliance with global and standard processes for risk management, ways of working, systems and tools that supports the countries and markets in the mentioned fields aligned with the Market to Order (M2O), Order to Cash (O2C) excellence program and the Philips Business Process Framework;

  • Coordinate or actively participate in the LSP funnel reviews and ensure compliance with the LSP deal board process

  • Ensure proper deployment of, support for and compliance with the staged process for strategic partner selection in the respective Market;

  • Coordinate and seek alliances with internal market stakeholders (market leader, sector market leader, the Philips Capital market representative, finance, strategy, legal, etc) to obtain an optimal use of resources within the company providing solutions for the risks identified;

  • Support with Market or Country entry strategies and plans;

  • Support the Group Markets Risk Management team with the continuous improvement of the risk management processes;

  • Translate risks, learning's and solutions into institutionalized best practices;

  • Ensure proper support for and timely follow up on conducted risk assessments;

  • Translate risk intelligence as enabler for business opportunities and supports in the risk description in the Strategy plans;

  • Support the Market risk reporting;

  • Deployment, support and compliance assurance of the travel risk policies and country crisis management plans;

  • Fosters a culture of transparency, risk awareness.

We are looking for:

  • Master degree (risk management, business administration, economics or equivalent);

  • Around 10 years of experience in a similar position; comparable role with advanced level of risk strategy know-how and extensive experience in risk management in a business environment - preferably systems and solutions industry;

  • People management skills with proven abilities in taking responsibility for executing high quality deliverables according to strict timetables;

  • Knowledge of the legal and financial system and understanding the language of the legal and finance community;

  • High Integrity

  • Able to effectively manage multiple complex topics;

  • Solution thinking mindset:
