What is the HealthSuite Digital Platform?

The Health Suite Digital Platform (HSDP) is an open, cloud-based healthcare platform that will support data collection across the spectrum from clinical to consumer lifestyle, allowing for integration and analysis of ‘big’ data from multiple sources worldwide, including electronic medical records, diagnostic and treatment information, images, reports, notes, wearables and Philips connected consumer lifestyle products. The platform will utilize Philips’ clinical data models and medical device interoperability and is designed to be highly scalable with built-in comprehensive data security and privacy/permission control.

Why is the HealthSuite Digital Platform important?

The Health Suite Digital Platform will enhance clinical decision-making and care coordination (collaboration and workflow). It will allow caregivers to improve patient outcomes by allowing them to collaborate closely in support of their patients by enabling patients to take a more active role in managing their personal health across the ‘health continuum’ from self-care and prevention, to diagnosis and treatment through recovery and wellness. It also enables a vibrant ecosystem of third party created applications (via SDKs and API’s) to allow for open innovation in both clinical and consumer realms. This will support a patient-centric transformation of both professional healthcare delivery and continuous personal health.

  • Owner of key platform services in HSDP

  • Responsible for what (capabilities) and how (architecture) for Platform Services in HSDP

  • Lead Technical Product Teams for delivering capabilities in the platform

  • Ensure Groomed/ Prioritized Product Backlog to drive release trains

  • Prioritizing business requirements delivery, technical debt, re-factoring & platform NFRs

  • Key contributor in Release Planning

  • Identify all dependencies for the service - other services, operational, release, etc.

  • Support Train Product Owners on a daily basis

  • Accountable for both the "what” and “how” from the team

  • Own Definition of Done & Acceptance criteria

  • Protect the team / impact from changing scope, priorities

  • Alignment with peers on cross platform service linkages and documented agreement on interdependency mapping

  • Hands on with development teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC

Location :

Specific skill requirements for this role include :

  • BS level technical degree required; Computer Science or Math background preferred or equivalent experience; MS degree desired

  • At least 12 years hands-on experience leading the design, development and deployment of business software at scale. Current hands on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experience

  • Proven track record of designing, building and delivering large-scale cloud based PaaS solutions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including group leadership and executive presentations. Ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple, business value context

  • Customer facing skills to represent PaaS well within the customer’s environment and drive discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management and risk mitigation

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges

  • Proven experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies required

  • Experience integrating AWS cloud services with on premise technologies from Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, etc.

  • Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (eg. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.)

  • Hands on experience with AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53 & S3).

  • Expertise in REST API design.

  • Expertise with advanced data modeling and real production expertise with large scale server systems.

  • Demonstrated experience with highly-available and fault-tolerant enterprise and web-scale software deployments.

  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of opportunities; work independently, manage multiple simultaneous projects, and deal well with ambiguity and last-minute changes

  • Ability and passion necessary to maintain technical excellence with emerging technologies, including competitive technologies, while continuing to manage customer opportunities

  • Demonstrated experience-enabling teams through knowledge transfer and training.

  • Experience translating customer business issues/opportunities into technical solution/business requirements.

  • Proven record of delivering business value

  • Expertise and hands on experience with of Agile SDLC and Architecting for large agile teams.

  • Ability to travel approximately 25% (quarterly) including International
