You are responsible for

Outcomes: The successful candidate will:

  • Collaborate with software validation engineers to assist in test case development and maintenance using LabVIEW.

  • Provide well written and documented source code.

  • Develop reusable code modules for test applications based on requirements from customers.

  • Key contributor to new software test solution architectures and design decisions.

  • Peer review and provide feedback for intended use validation procedures of test tool software.

  • Engage in the software lifecycle of test tools.

  • Engage full-cycle as a project team member to ensure that software validation establishes up-front readiness for validation phases of projects.

  • Ensure that all validation activities are conducted in accordance with Quality System requirements.

  • Behaviors: The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Self-responsibility and commitment in meeting project objectives and ensuring software validation test tools are delivered with timeliness, thoroughness and accuracy.

  • Determination and sound technical judgment in problem solving, analytical techniques, develops new / creative test designs, and can work independently with little supervision.

  • Ability to communication all aspects of risks that may develop, issues that may arise or ideas on opportunities for improvement.

  • In depth knowledge in the use of National Instruments hardware; cDAQ and cRIO modules.

  • Preferred in depth knowledge in actor framework and object oriented design.

Growth: The successful candidate will become:

  • Highly knowledgeable in the technical and operational aspects of ventilator products.

  • Expert in the approaches, test tools and test equipment used in the system-level testing of ventilator products.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • EDUCATION: B.S. in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

  • EXPERIENCE: 8-10 years in a related position. Must have experience in an embedded software development environment, medical device software validation, and LabVIEW test automation. Must be a Certified LabVIEW Developer or Architect.

  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position is primarily sedentary, but does require occasional standing and walking in order to perform the essential functions of the job. Must frequently lift and carry up to 10 pounds, and occasionally life and carry up to 50 pounds. Requires occasional use of fine manipulation, grasping, pushing, and pulling abilities.
