Chief Architect – China Digital Innovation

Your challenge

Are you an experienced and seasoned Senior Architect, ready to make the next step in your professional career?

Your responsibilities

As an Architect, you are responsible for:

  • End2End ownership : Lead the design process between all disciplines, involved in realization of complex connected products and integrated digital solutions, acts as senior technical interface for all stakeholders.

  • Technical responsibilities : Alignment and realization of requirements within time, costs, and quality constraints. Lead/participate in relevant architecture sessions within Philips or outside.

  • Platform & architecture strategies : Build and leverage existing technologies, platforms and suppliers. Responsible to bring innovation and reusability in development cycle. Help to build China digital solution reference architecture and platforms on top of global platform and aligned with Philips Unified Architecture.

  • Architecture competence : Contribute to the Architectural Knowledge Base and supports other architects and technical leads with technology competence, as well as with mentoring and coaching.

We are looking for

  • Has a master degree in computer science or has reached this level through training or experiences

  • Has a minimum of 15 years of experienced in driving project in all stages (plan, design, development, operation, evolution, maintenance) for large scale software products

  • Has general knowledge of (cloud) Architecture techniques, design patterns and technologies (Security, Rest, oAuth, OpenID, API management, deployment models, etc)

  • Has knowledge of programming languages: Java, nodeJS, JavaScript, Angular

  • Has knowledge of Internet of Things and cloud system developments

  • Is an analytical, creative and abstract thinker, capable of finding and driving an appropriate solution to complex problems

  • Has an interest and preferably working experience in agile development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe…)

  • Is experienced with multi-site software development and intercultural differences

  • Has excellent communication skills, fluent in English

  • Has excellent negotiation and presentation skills to explain complex solutions to any audience

  • Is able to represent the organization both internal and external Philips

  • Is a team player, eager to invest in personal and team growth

  • Is inspiring, sets clear expectations and possesses excellent coaching skills

  • Is a good learner, keep tracking and learning new technology, track industry development, and has a good network with internal and external technical communities

  • Has excellent documentation and reporting abilities

  • Can drive a quality-conscious improvement attitude

Senior Software Architect
