Philips Internship: Marketing Management Domestic Appliances in Eindhoven, Netherlands

Your responsibilities

  • Support the Domestic Appliances Marketing Team in realizing the business targets

  • Responsible for the local market, competition, shopper and consumer analysis to help you determine your marketing strategy based on the consumer decision journey

  • Prepare new Domestic Appliances product launches and demonstrations

  • Analyze the business and market results and initiate corrective actions where needed;

  • Do this by teaming up with colleagues, ensuring good communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders

Your team

You will enter a team of passionate a driven marketing professionals in the Benelux and you report to the (Senior) Marketing Manager. The location for this position is Eindhoven.

Our offer

You’ll be working with a team of experienced Marketers with very diverse background at the Category in Amsterdam and in the markets across the world. This will offer you a great learning experience and clear visibility on what a Marketing role at Philips Personal Health contains.

  • We’ll be working on running projects, but if you would like to write your thesis as well, it can be discussed

  • Duration: 6 months

  • We prefer students able to start as soon as possible, but no later than April 2017

Internship conditions:

  • Students on work placement or final-year study assignment are paid a work placement or final-year study assignment allowance.

  • A student on a work placement or final-year study assignment is paid an allowance towards rented accommodation, depending on his/her situation. This will be determined setting up the Intern Contract.

  • A student on work placement or final-year study assignment who can prove that he/she is not entitled to a student card for public transport (OV-studentenkaart) is paid an allowance to cover the cost of travel between home and the place of work in accordance with the Conditions of Employment Guideline.

  • The student is entitled to paid leave on the basis of 1 day per month.

  • Opportunity to buy Philips products with tax benefit (Philips MyShop)

We are looking for

To be successful in this internship we are looking for you:

  • Currently studying towards your University Bachelor of Science/Master of science WO (Bsc./Msc.) in:

  • Business Administration

  • (international) Business Management

  • Management Sciences

  • Marketing

  • Business Economics

  • Economics

  • Are fluent in both Dutch and English , French is a plus

  • Knowledge: Marketing knowledge and/or experience is a plus

  • Competences: analytical, pragmatic, pro-active, creative, dedicated, eye for detail, strong interpersonal skills, great team player, Self propelling

  • Affinity with Food, Lifestyle

  • Previous internship experience at a Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company, or with other company in consumer marketing is a plus
