Determines the relevance of this domain for Philips, assessing the value of new developments and identifying new opportunities for Philips.

Oversees the global developments in his IT domain that are relevant for the business, and determines the implications for his domain.

Keeps abreast of market, competition, technical, application and societal developments in his domain, showing understanding of the Philips position and business interests.

Builds a worldwide external network in IT and makes this knowledge applicable for the business, now and in the future.

Represents Philips externally on related issues, and spearheads international platforms in IT.

Is consulted as a senior IT specialist and asked for projects to investigate feasibility of new businesses, applications concepts and models.

Typically requires a Master’s degree with >10 years of related experience in IT.

As IT Portfolio Lead you support the Head IT Governance in organizing and facilitating the Global IT portfolio management process. Establish and maintain the structure and procedures for conducting the on-going assessment and improvement of the IT portfolio and portfolio categories. You shape our IT Program Roadmap in a big way!

You ensure investments that are aligned with strategic goals and through a clear demand process either top down (Business Transformation) or bottom up (Business Groups, Markets and Functions).

You are responsible for

You liaise with the strategy function within IT Governance to determine and implement the portfolio mix of initiatives to support respective strategies for business and market groups.

  • Manage demand in close relation with business stakeholders to manage value and requirements

  • Collect and share information on the portfolio, providing executive summaries to enable strategic portfolio decisions and scenario planning

  • Determine and report portfolio KPI's

  • Support program and project management in the setup and maintenance and adherence to portfolio processes

  • Measure IT Program, Project portfolio execution & performance

  • Establish financial transparency and ensure each IT program has clear benefits tracking and financial return

  • Deliver against the Group Planning and Performance Cycle (e.g. inputs for Annual Operating Plans and Forecasts) for the portfolio

  • Lead the IT Portfolio team

You are a part of

You will be part of the IT Governance team, a team of 50+ dedicated professionals. The total team focusses on IT Visibility & Engagement, IT Transformation, IT Portfolio Performance, IT Strategy and IT Risk, Compliance and Quality.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • A master’s degree with 10 years or more of related experience in IT, an MBA is preferred

  • Ample experience in IT program and/or change management with Project or Program Management certification (Prince2, MSP, PMP)

  • Deep understanding of IT program metrics

  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills

  • Ability to take calculated risks based on thorough risk assessments

  • Strong analytical skills are required to plan, create, asses and balance the execution of the IT portfolio

  • Strong financial skills are preferred

  • Proven people management skills
