Philips Lead Subject Matter Expert Vendor Data in Eindhoven, Netherlands

Manages, perhaps through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of Data management activities, with responsibility for results, including costs, methods and staffing.

Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals. Provides guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies.

Recommends changes to Data Management policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization(s). Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors,

including an understanding of current business trends. Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

Acts as advisor to subordinate(s) to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems. Develops and administers schedules, performance requirements; mostly has budget responsibilities.

Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors, customers, and/or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas or customers.

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree with > 5 years of related experience; or a Master’s degree with < 3 years of related experience.

As a Lead Subject Matter Expert you are the authority on Vendor & Product master data in the EIM Data Services organization. You participate in business projects where you are the key expert in translating the requirements from the business into process designs and practical IT solutions. You have an active role in creating the new standardized and harmonized Philips IT environment (PIL) and End2End solutions. Furthermore, you will help mature the Vendor Operations team and operations model. You will collaborate with our service provider Infosys, who execute operations, to ensure high service levels, data quality and benchmark costs.

You are responsible for

As Lead subject matter expert, you are involved in all operational topics related to master data; You serve as the primary coordinator for data management and reporting. You plan delivery of our data services, monitor our SLA and manage the performance of our external service partners. You ensure staff is trained at Philips and at the partner. You ensure and monitor compliance and drive improvement of the data management processes and services.

  • You engage with our key stakeholders in the business and functions on frequent basis and align on demand / capacity / priority setting. Furthermore, you manage SLA renewal with our stakeholders.

  • You focus on delivering a seamless business process flow for the key business processes in your domain(s), via ensuring Master Data is of the right quality, at the right time.

  • Coordination & onboarding of demand from projects

  • Driving data quality improvements for instance through process & standard work definition & improvement

  • E2E Vendor Master Data Compliancy, SOX

  • Participate in cross functional value stream maps

  • You drive maximal standardization of our services and drive Quality, speed and cost efficiencies.

  • As a Subject Matter Expert, you own the data services processes in your respective area;

  • You react on questions from the procurement departments and translate those in solutions;

  • You define and monitor Service levels, data quality and costs for respective service area, in collaboration with our service provider Infosys;

  • You help to train staff at Philips and the service partner;

You are a part of

As a Subject matter expert you are a member of the Data services organization within Enterprise Information Management. You will lead a small team of dedicated professionals of different backgrounds.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

Our preferred candidate has a Bachelor or Master degree and a minimum of 5 years working experience.

Other requirements are:

  • Good understanding of Procurement processes;

  • Experience in coordinating a vast amount of activities and managing expert teams in previous roles.

  • Planning and project management experience

  • Strong analytical / IT skills;

  • Process improvement capabilities (lean, six sigma);

  • Experience with tools like SAP R3, SAP MDM, Informatica, ServiceNow;

  • Service mind-set, with a focus on process excellence and data quality;

  • A proactive mind-set.
