As Safety Officer of PInS you are responsible for:
Preparing the H&S policy of the organization.
Giving advice on H&S care on a strategic, tactical and operational level.
Maintaining the H&S Management System (based on OHSAS18001) by, amongst others, keeping internal audits, having risk overviews and assessments and analyzing the root causes to structural problems.
Promoting safety awareness on the work floor and organize training and schooling of employees with H&S tasks. Ensuring that occupational health and safety legislation and regulations as well as the Philips H&S policy are complied with and that you have relevant legislation and regulations available.
Identifying undesirable or unacceptable situations in terms of health and safety and investigating complaints, incidents and emergencies are an important part of your job. When needed you have the authority to take immediate action, give (unsolicited) advice and order work stopped in case of immediate danger on behalf of the CEO of PInS.
Representing PInS in internal and external meetings on Health and Safety, and are also responsible for local security.

Depending on experience, a year salary (fulltime) between €53000,-and €67000,- (including personal benefits package)

We are looking for a candidate who
Has a technically oriented bachelor degree, preferably on chemistry.
Has a completed Higher Educational Level in Health & Safety (Dutch: hogere veiligheidskunde) and >5 years related experience.
Has good communication skills and is fluent in Dutch and English, in spoken and written word.
Has a strong personality, a high drive and is committed to continuous improvement.
Brings a self-starting and ownership attitude. A pragmatic doer who helps to think of a safe, workable and affordable solution to a problem.
Preferably has a Dutch Radiation Safety Degree level 4, or a willingness to obtain this degree.
Brings a hands on mentality and experience with working in a chemical and physical lab environment.
Is a team player that has the ability to co-act with the various disciplines in the organization.
