The growing innovation site for medical B2C products is part of Innovation & Development (I&D). It focuses on the development of medically and non-medically endorsed lifestyle products. It is responsible for the development and realization of new product propositions. The Innovation Site Eindhoven is looking at a very challenging growth task to bring faster, more new ideas to the global market.
One of the key growth areas is the Mother and Child Care category (Philips Avent). You will be part of the Innovation Team and report to Mother & Child Care's Innovation Lead. The Breastfeeding team consists of some 15 developers working on innovations as well as life cycle management. The team daily interacts with Industrial Designers, Advanced Manufacturing engineers, Process Engineers and Consumer Marketing Managers and 3rd parties.

We have the opportunity for you to join one of our key growth areas, Mother & Child Care category (Philips Avent). As a Sub-Business Innovation lead for Breastfeeding portfolio, it is up to you to ensure, together with your marketing counterpart, that the Breastfeeding Solutions business plans and roadmaps are created and that resources are planned.
Next to that, you initiate, plan, steer and control all Breastfeeding Solutions business R&D and Lifecycle projects integrally according to market and regulatory needs, available budget, and resources.

You are responsible for
As a Sub-Business Innovation Lead you are responsible for:
Defining most competitive innovation strategy
Having a strong roadmap that delivers the business growth.
Ensuring that the roadmap is translated into projects.
Ensuring that the projects are delivered on time, within budget and on quality.
Driving resolution for all product related issues in the market.
Driving Consumer-Centric Innovation, product superiority and Open Innovation.
Integrating Philips, partners, and suppliers functions and drive x-functional x-site x-partner and x-cultural collaboration.
Ensuring that lean practices (visual controls, standardized tasks, 'go-and-sees' etc) are established and maintained
Informing all stakeholders pro-actively on the status of the projects and all technical issues.
Realizing the development of the competence (including the domain-specific competence) in the extended Breastfeeding Innovation Team
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
MSc in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, biomechanics or physics.
At least 7 years of experience in various research, product development, project management, and development leadership roles.
Proven experience of developing consumer-related products from concept development to market launch with key involvement in the industrialization phase. Preferably in a medical device industry (FDA regulation)
Established business acumen and strong bias for action
Strong communicator and relationship builder within multidisciplinary and multicultural environment
