Philips Sr. User Experience Designer in Framingham, Massachusetts

We are looking for a Senior Interaction/UX Designer who is passionate about innovation that improves people’s health and the care they receive. Someone who has proven ability to create compelling and valued user experiences that make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

Your responsibilities

As a Senior Interaction/UX Designer you will be responsible for driving the development of product-service ideas from early concepts to detailed design solutions. You will work as part of a global multidisciplinary team, following a user-centered design process to understand requirements, explore ideas, build and test prototypes and create detailed design specifications.

Speicifically, you will collaborate with product leads and the senior leadership team and.provide consultative guidance to a wide range of products including digital applications and medical devlices. You will also provide hands-on support to produce wireframes, workflows, prototypes and visual assets.

Your team

Design is a strategic and a consultative function within Philips. You will be part of a global team leading the delivery of best in class products and services used by clinicians, patients, consumers and healthcare administrators.

We are looking for:

  • You have a 4-year degree in visual design, interaction design or related field (advanced degree preferred)

  • 4+ years of relevant design experience

  • Strong analytical, creative and visual craft skills

  • Working knowledge of mobile and web technologies and prototyping tools

  • Experience working within agile software development processes

  • Collaborative team player

  • Self-motivated, pro-active thinker

  • Proficiency in English

  • Experience in healthcare is preferred, but not required

  • A background in human factors or industrial design is a plus.
