Philips Clinical Engineering Service Specialist - Biomed in Franklin, Tennessee

Your challenge

We challenge you as a Clinical Engineering Service Specialist – Biomed to project manage new account implementations to ensure our customers are delighted while they transition from their previous service providers. You will also strive to maintain positive relationships with customers by driving the compliance of contractual obligations, identifying areas of improvement and program quality audits.

*Position is relocation eligible, so the employee is based out of the Franklin, TN office.


Implement and project manage new customer biomed service contracts

  • Inventory verification of all contracted assets

  • Creation of customer Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or service operations database

  • Coordinate and work with sales, local service and back-office operations teams

  • Lead meetings between Philips and the customer

  • Establish balanced Planned Maintenance schedule

  • Prepare contract reconciliation documents

Support the biomed field service organization across the country

  • Assist with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) support cases for field technicians

  • Support the compliance of the Philips Biomed/Clinical Engineering program which includes Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), FDA and accreditation agencies

  • Drive new initiatives to improve the overall program across the country

  • Contribute to solving service delivery gaps at both a regional and national level

Your team

You will report directly to the Sr. Manager, Multi-Vendor Operations within the

Multi-Vendor Services division of Philips Healthcare. This group specializes in providing a high level of service quality and responsiveness and provides healthcare facilities with single-source accountability, a single service agreement, and a single invoice. This position is based in Franklin, TN.

The Multi-Vendor organization is a growing healthcare space as facilities look to consolidate service vendors and contracts. This translates to becoming a partner with the account and assisting in their growth and the future of their network.

Our main goal is to successfully implement new large service agreements, so they will see Philips as their partner in the future regarding service, equipment purchases and policy and regulations. We are searching for passionate leaders who can drive project success not only with the customer, but internally with other business units.

We are looking for

The successful candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills education and experience:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 3+ years of Biomed/Clinical Engineer field experience

  • 3+ years in project management experience

  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel

  • Large dataset analysis, Vlookups and Pivot Tables

  • Understanding of database creation

  • Customer Service oriented with the ability to present to customer audiences

  • Detailed oriented, thorough and accurate in all facets while maintaining a high level of efficiency

  • Capability to work on multiple projects at once

  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a demanding environment

  • Influence internal and external resources to a stated objective without formal authority

  • Professional interface with customers effectively and instill confidence in the situation

  • Deliver required results with high levels of customer satisfaction, both internal and external

Work Environment

  • Travel up to 70% to customer sites, training and other business needs

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
