Philips Supplier Quality Engineer in Franklin, Tennessee

  • Oversee and lead all supplier related audit activity (remote and in person) on behalf of Multi Vendor Services (MVS) and AllParts Medical.

  • Oversee and lead all Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARS) on behalf of Multi Vendor Services (MVS) and AllParts Medical.

  • Manage the acquisition and maintenance of supplier of the Multi Vendor and APM supplier base to ensure compliance requirements for the QMS’ for both groups

  • Work with other branches/divisions of the MV business unit to maximize our regulatory compliance.

  • Work with Multi Vendor suppliers to ensure regulatory standards are maintained, and Philips specific requirements are met.

  • Gather and provide data on the MV supplier base in order to better identify opportunities to excel.

The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for day to day functions related to supplier quality management system activities and must possess excellent time management skills.

The activities within this role require coordination across departments and organizations, and requires the Supplier Quality Engineer to utilize their knowledge of quality methods, processes and applications.

You are responsible for

  • Overseeing and leading all Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARS) on behalf of Multi Vendor Services (MVS) and AllParts Medical.

  • Managing the acquisition and maintenance of supplier of the Multi Vendor and APM supplier base to ensure compliance requirements for the QMS’ for both groups.

  • Working with other branches/divisions of the MV business unit to maximize our regulatory compliance.

  • Working with Multi Vendor Suppliers to ensure regulatory standards are maintained, and Philips specific requirements are met.

  • Gathering and providing data on the MV Supplier base in order to better identify opportunities to excel.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • BS or BA: Degree in scientific field or business field

  • Min 2 years of experience in a strong Quality System Environment with a minimum of 2 years in a Medical Device company or other highly regulated Industry. Primary focus on Supplier Management a plus

  • 2 years’ experience auditing vendors and suppliers utilizing medical device related Quality methods and tools

  • Experience in a FDA / ISO 9001 or 13485 regulated environment

  • Experience with of automated process management tools

  • Experience in working within a functional matrix organization desired

  • Familiarity of the following medical device related quality & regulatory standards: FDA 21 CFR 820 , ISO 13485/ISO 9001, ISO 14971, OSHA

  • Proficient use of Microsoft tools for daily work

  • Trained in use of automated software tools (such as SAP, Salesforce.com, etc.)
