Philips Assembly Technician 4 (Lead) in Gainesville, Florida

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The incumbent will assist and conduct employee training and orientation following up in a “mentoring role” to assure assigned employees are capable of performing their jobs in the areas of documentation, “GOEDMS” navigation, assembly protocol/practices, and workmanship.

  • The incumbent will pull and verify documentation and submit changes, assist in logistics and inventory, assist supervisors and engineering in preproduction of products, assist with and develop quality inspection procedures and practices.

  • May perform training duties

  • Prepares operators by conducting training on job-specific processes, measures and evaluates trainees’ progress, and verifies successful training completion.

  • May contribute to creation of training materials

  • May participate in verification of standard work

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager in support of Manufacturing Operations.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Will follow established plans and directions. Must be capable with computer usage. Possess manual dexterity.

  • Possess people skills while acting in a leadership role.

  • Mastery of basic tools, measurement and testing devices required for assembling electronic components.

Experience/Education:

  • Knowledgeable of a wide range of electronic assembly operations and capable of interpreting drawings, wiring lists, verbal and written instructions to inspect, assemble, modify, rework, or reassemble units.

  • High school education

  • One year technical training, or equivalent and four years related experience.

Training role requires completion of certification process
