Business Knowledge & Alignment:
- Gathering quotation prerequisites and reviewing cost/price calculations to ensure alignment with Commercial Policy. It will also be important to maintain knowledge of Frameworks. The goal will be to become a specialist in a Healthcare Imaging Systems modality group, gaining a technical knowledge to build a platform on which to provide more complex quotations and other Modality documents.
Commercial Offer Preparation:
Obtaining the confirmation of Commercial Offer from Sales and modality teams and assessing the sales stage of the requested information – i.e. Budget for Business planning, or final offer stage – to ensure the most appropriate response.
Aligning with Sales teams to ensure that promotional campaigns are supported and following communication in Salesforce.com as contribution to Quotation assessment.
Quotation Development & Approval:
- Preparing the Commercial Offer for Customer (paper or electronic version) including alignment of non-standard terms and conditions with relevant stakeholders. Getting Quotations approved by relevant Approvers according to Delegation Matrix and driving all parties to ensure that responses are received in a timely manner, to ensure that quotations are returned to customers within set or agreed timeframes.
High Quality Quotation Delivery:
- Ensuring that all quotations and other customer-facing documents are of a standard to reflect the Philips branding guidelines. Check quotations meet the needs of the customer. Discuss any queries with Sales & modality teams. In coordination with the Sales and Modality teams ensure quotes include correct loose items (e.g. 3rd Party items and uplifts) and all appropriate costs have been considered
- Developing and introducing new supporting quoting support sub processes and improve existing processes. Initiating & running quoting support improvement projects.
In this role, you have the opportunity to support key business units that operate in both a high value, slow volume and low value, high volume requirements offering a varied and exciting role within our Heath Systems business.
You are responsible for quotes and customer communication within the modalities function of the business, requiring senior stakeholder engagement and where you will be constantly challenged and rewarded in a business critical area. As part of the modalities team you will be primarily concerned with providing revenue generation support to the Sales teams by generating equipment quotations and other requested modality documents to customers, both in connection with tenders and with ad-hoc commercial sales activity.
You are part of a dynamic, flexible and rapidly paced team that has to constantly adapt dependent on the needs of our customers, requiring lateral and quick thinking with the ability to think on your feet as the situation arises. To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Excellent communication skills combined with a continuous open minded and enthusiastic attitude to improved ways of working
Interest in technology of medical devices would be an advantage
Intermediate or advanced levels of skill in MS Word and Excel (pivot tables etc.)
Commercial mind-set with ability with strong analytical skills
Takes initiative and identifies problems in actual way of working
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Capacity to prioritise and work under pressure coupled with a keen attention to detail
Ability to work to multiple pre-determined targets and timescales
