The Privacy Officer for Market UK&I is the primary privacy subject matter expert tasked with leading, managing and improving the protection of personal and sensitive data processed by the business. The Privacy Officer drives and collaboratively assists the organization in meeting its compliance obligations under the Philips Privacy Code and Rules.

This role is fulltime however we will consider flexible working, as well as 4 days per week.
Collaborates with employees and legal staff to define and update associated policies and procedures for business activities, and improve compliance with the Philips Privacy Code and Rules;
Enable, empower and inspire employees to work toward improved care in all aspects of processing personal data in the course of business activities.
Successfully lead and monitor the organization to fully understand risks and successfully mitigate the risks associated with personal data processed during the course of all business or function activities.
Guides employees and project management in conducting documented Privacy Impact Assessments including both risk analysis and mitigation;
Leads training activities for privacy requirements to ensure employee awareness of privacy responsibilities and nurtures local/project privacy expertise;
Develops Privacy methods (processes) and guidance as needed with emphasis on business/function-specific activities, and fosters the development of new policies as necessary;
Monitors laws, regulations, and contracts associated with the management and control of personal and sensitive data processed within the UK.
Extends privacy expertise to promote understanding and compliance in the UKI and with external stakeholders;
Manages emerging privacy events to resolution (highest priority).
Performs Audits on suppliers and the business that are processing and holding sensitive data.

We are looking for
Ability to define, implement, and maintain new policies and processes in a global, highly matrixed organization.
Ability to understand, simplify and teach others privacy-related concepts reflecting national and state laws, ethical standards of practice, and policy.
Demonstrated ability to translate general managerial direction into solid results with minimal supervision
Ability to interact with business leaders, senior executives, and legal staff around the world.
Experience demonstrating multi-institutional and multi-faceted project leadership involving multiple stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to translate privacy and security regulations and/or standards into workable and implementable solutions.
Demonstrated ability to write, publish and disseminate critical information and relevant findings inside and outside of the organization.
Ideally proven experience in leading security and/or privacy initiatives.
Knowledge or expertise in IT protocols related to information security, data lifecycle management.
Strong communication and influencing abilities
Fluent in English
Development and maintenance of privacy processes and procedures for Market UKI activities;
Demonstrable dissemination of privacy training to employees and stakeholders as necessary.
With the Privacy Compliance Office, create and maintain an active inventory of all instances of personal data processing in the course of Market UKI activities across the sector.
Performance of Privacy Impact Assessments and checklists as evidenced by a growing number of in-process and completed assessments.
Quarterly reporting of privacy compliance status.
Execution of Privacy Event Management procedures in a timely fashion as privacy events arise.
Active participant and leader in the Privacy Network and other Privacy Compliance sponsored activities.
Participate in the review of privacy terms and conditions in business/function-specific contracts and agreements.
Implement and audit processes for personal data processing activities within the business/function.
