We now have an exciting opportunity for a Social Media Executive to join our business.

The Social Media Executive will be responsible for supporting the planning, execution and analysis of Philips UK&I’s social media activities for Brand and Personal Health, aligned with company communications and marketing strategies – including: editorial planning; managing tools for publishing, moderation and measurement; community management; and compiling social analytics reports – to help achieve the company’s objectives.

This role is based from our UKI headquarters in Guildford and is a fixed term position until the end of the year.

Your Responsibilities

Editorial planning and content development

  • Work with social media managers and agency to plan and deliver social content – “always on” and campaign-specific - according to the company's strategic direction

  • Maintain editorial calendar

  • Align content plans with internal KPIs for format, subject matter, objectives and target audiences

  • Manage generation of creative assets

  • Work closely with all internal functions to ensure effective marketing communications in social and as part of the wider communications mix

  • Ensure the compliance of social channels with corporate policies, procedures and data privacy

Managing tools for publishing, moderation and measurement

Through our social publishing and analytics tools:

  • Upload, tag, schedule and publish content to UKI social channels

  • Monitor and moderate our community engagement

  • Assist in management of paid social activation for always-on content

  • Export and compile performance data

Monitoring, moderation and engagement

  • Ensure that communities are active and engaged

  • Monitor and moderate community engagement

  • Look for opportunities to interact with our followers and influencers, widening and deepening the conversation

  • Occasionally coordinate customer queries with our offline and social customer care teams

Compiling social analytics reports

  • Assist with preparation of periodic and ad hoc social analytics reports

  • Work with social media managers, digital analyst and agency to deliver quantitative and qualitative insights to internal stakeholders

We are looking for

  • Experience in social media community management.

  • Experienced in managing social media platforms including Facebook Twitter. Some experience with LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, and YouTube is an advantage

  • Must have demonstrable experience executing content for social media, either within an agency environment or working for a brand with a strong social presence

  • Proven experience in managing and executing campaigns via Social Media is an advantage

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable consumer insights

  • Pro-active and results-oriented team player

  • Specific importance on attention to detail, organisation & communication.

  • Fluent in English, verbal and written

  • Ability to manage stakeholders in a large organisation
