Philips Head of Continuous Improvement in Gurgaon, India

Purpose of the role:

Prioritize and drive performance improvements that will have the biggest overall impact on the business results and on delivering operational excellence to customers, using standard tools like Problem Solving, Daily Management, LEAN & Six Sigma, and create an organization culture of continuous improvement by embedding the improvement mindset to achieve performance excellence.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement the lean improvement roadmap for Philips India, linked to the business Hoshin and strategic priorities.

Coach and guide the business and functional teams on Problem Solving techniques

Drive the implementation of Daily Management Boards and coach the business teams to improve Daily Management techniques

Assess key business metrics and situations and engage with the MT and middle managers helping them identifying opportunities where lean, 6S and CI tools can be used to improve such metrics and situations

Creates VSM's that will result in World-Class Lean Implementation using creativity and lean expertise. Identify and lead (where applicable) Kaizen(s)

Train the organization on continuous improvement techniques and coach them to embed the practices

Education Qualification:

Mandatory: Degree in Business or Engineering required; Master's Degree preferred

Work Experience:

• Years of Experience: 12+ years

• Knowledge of business process improvement tools and managing large projects/programs in complex cross-functional organizations and/or environments.

• Expertise in Lean Management, Problem Solving & Daily Management

• Minimum Philips Project Management Certification= PMP with Expert

  • Similar role in a multi-national organisation

Technical/Functional Competencies:

• Strong Business Acumen; Understand P&L to drive Performance and Business Impact

  • Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and influence without direct authority

  • Strong communication skills

• Business Process Knowledge in Market to Order & Order to Cash process areas
