Philips System Engineer in Haifa, Israel

The System Engineer is responsible for driving system features development, integration and product level activities throughout the organization teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead SW & HW roadmap in line with architect roadmap

  • Leads system features feasibility, prototyping and trade off studies as well as performance analysis and improvement effort

  • Analyzes system-level needs and translate them into engineering (PRS/SDS/DRS) requirements, and support CS, OPS and marketing to define PRS requirements

  • Leads product non-clinical requirements, e.g. performance, reliability

  • Leads the preparation of technical documentation (TRR, expert report, DRS, etc.)

  • Defines testing environment requirements

  • Plans, oversees and executes the Systems Engineering activities in the project/subsystem, including coordination, synchronization of the technical work (performance, reliability, etc.)

  • Supports Verification (defect scoring, analysis...)

  • Beta management: beta site selection, participate in the Beta site tours, preparations, installations, troubleshooting, feedback analysis, reliability analysis and follow up

  • Support FOK activity: trouble shooting, analysis

  • Provides 4th level support for pre/post sales and service

Requirements:

  • Academic Degree in a technology domain (e.g. computer science, information systems etc.) with solid R&D background - Must

  • At least 3 years of experience after graduating with a proven contribution to a large scale product and multi-functional involvement - Must

  • Experience in at least one of the following (Must):

  • SW Design/ IT & Networking

  • Compose system requirements

  • Test design

  • Three years involvement in a global multi-team project

  • Experience with technical writing and fluent English

  • Ability to lead other functions with no formal authority

  • Good communication, influencing and conflict resolution skills and wide perspective

  • Ability to travel (about 4 times a year)

  • Experience in leading an R&D team - advantage

  • Ability to manage several efforts simultaneously (multitasking)
