Product Support Engineer, Philips Healthcare, (Highland Hts., OH)
The Customer Support Product Support Engineer will represent and champion customer support stake holders needs in the development of new products and interim product releases to ensure best in class service workflow, service documentation and service training. He/she will work closely with cross-functional organizations (i.e.: R&D, manufacturing, marketing, etc) influencing design for supportability, and supporting the development of service collateral to enable the key market service teams to service and maintain the installed base of BIU systems.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Identify and drive the implementation of product requirements, use cases and test cases for the development of BIU systems with world class service and clinical work flow.
Develop spare parts plans and establish parts in inventory for IB, NPI, or life cycle projects.
Create collateral, kits and associated instructions for the deployment and implementation of Field Change Orders.
Assist NPI and IB project managers in the creation of NPI program deliverables to meet milestones.
Develop technical training course and materials for new product introduction (NPI) Programs
Provide technical assistance to the Global Sales & Services (GSS) organizations and Level 3 Technical Support Groups and end user/customer in diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging products, systems or software when issues cannot be resolved locally.
Develop and deliver timely service communication of identified issues and resolutions.
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience is required.
3 plus years of experience with development of medical imaging equipment.
3 plus years of experience with medical imaging equipment service or support.
More than 3 years of engineering support experience
Demonstrated cross-functional participation of complex project with strong skills in project fundamentals, including task planning and tracking.
Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills as well as being a motivated team player.
Strong time management skills, with continuous improvements and focus on estimations and meeting deadlines for self and team.
Functions effectively in a dynamic team environment. Effective with situational leadership.
Acts as individual contributor as well as part of a cross-functional team.
Brings out the best in team members and other employees with whom he/she interacts.
Must possess good intercommunication skills (both oral and written).
Able to organize work in order to efficiently manage assigned tasks.
