About the position
The Senior Financial Analyst works with the Director of Business & Market Development and other members of the Radiology Solutions business group. Responsibilities include providing financial projections and recommendations for corporate development transactions (build, buy, partner and new market entry). The role involves: evaluation of BD opportunities; analysis of the merits of new investment propositions, and preparation of financial models for business decision making, presented to both internal and external stakeholders.
The Analyst will participate as a key member of the BD team, working with the Director of Business & Market Development as well as other members of the growing BD team and business unit. In addition, the Analyst will work from time to time with the General Manager of Radiology Solutions and other members of the Leadership and Core teams.
The Analyst will play a critical role in the strategic operations of the Business & Market Development department. Activities include:
Supporting the strategic planning and annual budgeting process by modelling and analyzing proposed financial goals over strategic growth horizons, both across the business and at department levels
Supporting the development and maintenance of an infrastructure that facilitates rapid reporting and analysis on business case and forecasting scenarios.
Analyzing performance against key business metrics, including cost, revenue and margin targets
Analyzing specific financial and operational issues during the year, including ad-hoc analysis, modelling, and forecasting
Philips’ Radiology Solutions delivers multimodality departmental solutions that create value beyond the individual imaging system or modality. The business unit addresses the rapidly shifting needs of our customers in order to succeed in the new value-based healthcare environments by working closely with product BIUs and local country organizations to develop the solutions roadmap for Radiology. We are looking for
Master of Business Administration with emphasis in finance, economics or other related field
Minimum three years of professional experience
Advanced MS Excel skills
7+ years of healthcare market experience, with focus on partnering, M&A and new market transactions
Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
Demonstrated aptitude for analytics
Proven finance, strategy, and operational skills
Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing
Proven time management skills; ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects
Resourcefulness--ability to procure detailed data and information
Proven service orientation with attention to detail and follow-up
Significant academic or professional experience using quantitative analytical tools to assemble, analyse, and draw conclusions from business data
Proven project management and planning skills
Willingness to learn how to use new tools, techniques, and skills
Discretion in handling sensitive business information
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Position within the organization
This position reports directly to the Director of Business & Market Development for Radiology Solutions, a division of Philips Healthcare.
Travel and Relocation
This is a remote position. Requires quarterly travel frequency in the field and with global customers (approx. 10-15% travel, including internationally)
