The Sr. Business Development Manager is a hunter sales role focused on selling Philips Wellcentive’s solutions to new prospects within the Western sales territory, specifically the Pacific Northwest region. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, a self-starter, detail oriented, process driven and consultative in sales approach.
Territory planning for maximum prospect penetration
Forecasting and pipeline accuracy through constant and current updates to salesforce.com: This includes leads, opportunities, correspondence with the respective prospect, competitor names, projected deal potential, number of seats, services, interfaces, pipeline status for the deal, expected close date, other pertinent data management should be aware of
Adherence to agreed-upon sales process and methodology, including consistent use of job aids, templates and other required documentation in support of such processes
Pipeline reviews with management as deemed appropriate
Ability to demo the system in a professional and proficient manner
Coordinate with Product Marketing all RFP (Request for Proposal) activity in a timely and professional manner
Participate in marketing activities as directed by management
Price and present all fees in accordance with the pricing process and price list in effect at the time of quote
Seek approval for any discount to be offered prior to presentation to the prospect
Assist in closing Strategic Partner deals with the Vice President of Business Development
Present yourself to all prospects and clients in a high degree of professionalism and integrity
5+ years healthcare technology sales experience into payer, health system and provider markets required
4 year degree or its equivalent, preferably with an emphasis in sales & marketing, strategic planning, or business management.
Proven track record in prospecting and selling emerging technologies into new markets
Demonstrated ability to manage complex and consultative sales engagements
Strong knowledge of consultative selling methodology and understanding of sales process and use of sales automation tools
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and relationship skills
Ability to travel throughout Western U.S. region
Must have significant healthcare technology and consulting sales
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
The position will interact with Services, Marketing, Solution Design, Finance, and Technology teams in order to support the regional team. This position will be customer and prospect facing and will interact directly with customers within the region. Interaction will take place via the telephone and will include extensive face-to-face customer and prospect contact. As such, extensive travel is expected.
