You are responsible for
Support project leaders in the definition of electrical specifications, starting from user/commercial requisite.
Support testing engineers in the definition of test specifications. Review test reports.
Technical interface between local external design teams, and remote Electronic Project Leader and team members
Teach suppliers about Philips design and manufacturing standards. Verify suppliers deliverables
Support manufacturing and procurement in the assessment of local suppliers, and for all HW/SW technical aspects
Provide support to QA, PRC and and Safety departments. Provide electronic interface to project and procurement teams via conference calls, design reviews, and site survey’s.
Analyze mass produced domestic appliances, and all internal hardware components. You are a part of Domestic Appliance Team-Floor Care for product development in Electrical aspect. You can also request and coordinate electronic design and testing activities in a matrix organization. To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Bachelor Engineering or master in Electronics.
5-10 years electronic design and engineering experience, preferred if in the domestic appliances market
Excellent communications skills, also in English (both written and spoken) and Cantonese
Prior consumer or automotive experience. Large production volumes.
Understanding of EN-standards and IEC/UL normative for domestic appliances.
Basic knowledge of batteries and Battery Management Systems.
Basic knowledge of Universal and BLDC motors.
Ability to speak professionally directly with team members, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Deep knowledge of analog circuits, power circuits, and discrete components
Deep knowledge of PCB/PCBAs manufacturing process, and design documents and procedures
Ability to read, understand, and implement a design from specifications.
